Some of the best safety tools are the ones you'll actually carry every day.

Bag Charmers were created because I wanted something different. Most personal safety products are designed to look tactical, bulky, or intimidating. They often get tossed into the bottom of a purse, where they're impossible to find when you actually need them. I wanted something that looked like a beautiful accessory first—but was designed with purpose.

Every Bag Charmer is slow-made by hand in my Idaho workshop. No two are exactly alike.

At the heart of every design is my signature 3D-printed Pebble Whistle. Its smooth dual-tone finish and organic shape make it look more like a decorative charm than a traditional safety whistle, but don't let its size fool you—it produces a loud, attention-grabbing sound when you need it (110dB + 129dB).

The pebble shape has another unexpected benefit. It feels smooth and comforting in your hand, much like a traditional worry stone. Whether you're waiting in line, sitting through a meeting, or feeling anxious, it's something you can quietly hold, rub, or fidget with. Sometimes the smallest things can help ground us in the moment.

Every Bag Charmer also includes a mini LED flashlight, because searching through a dark parking lot, unlocking your front door, or finding something in your bag shouldn't require digging for a light buried at the bottom of your purse.

From there, each piece develops its own personality. Depending on the design, you'll find combinations of:

Designed for Real Life

Growing up, my dad always told me:

"Never carry a weapon you don't know how to use."

That advice has stayed with me.

As a therapist specializing in women's mental health, I've listened to far too many women share stories of moments when they simply weren't prepared. Those conversations stayed with me. They inspired me to create something that encourages women to carry practical safety tools—not out of fear, but because being prepared can bring confidence and peace of mind.

Many personal safety products are marketed as weapons. Depending on where you live, some can be considered concealed weapons or are prohibited in schools, government buildings, workplaces, sporting events, or while traveling. Even when they're legal, many people have never practiced using them under stress.

A whistle and a flashlight are different.

They're simple, practical tools that almost anyone can use. A loud whistle attracts attention, interrupts a situation, and can help summon assistance from much farther away than your voice alone. A flashlight helps you see hazards, locate dropped items, and make yourself more visible in the dark.

Every Bag Charmer is assembled by hand. I carefully combine 3D printing, leather, hardware, beads, textiles, and decorative elements into pieces that are functional, durable, and fun to carry.

This isn't mass production. It's thoughtful craftsmanship, designed to create something you'll enjoy every day while giving you practical tools that are always within reach.

I believe safety doesn't have to look tactical, and preparedness doesn't have to come at the expense of style. A beautiful accessory can also be a conversation starter, a grounding tool, a source of comfort, and—if you ever need it—a whistle and flashlight ready in an instant.
